About CERI

Centre for Excellence in Research & Innovation is an academic unit of College Kotibarsha Institute of Technology and Management (KITM), which is presently under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, India. The CERI is dedicated in implementing, enhancing and rejuvenating research and allied atmosphere at the KITM. It is aimed to reach the students, faculty and academic community with various research events, training and research means at par international trend.

About KITM

The College Kotibarsha Institute of Technology and Management (KITM) is promoted by Knocks Educare Foundation, Specifically to Cater to the growing needs of Management & IT Education in India. It is the prime constituent of its academic complex at Buniadpur, Dakshin Dinajpur (North Bengal), West Bengal, India. Over a period of time KITM has been catering to the needs of various segments of IT & Management education aspirants. The flagship programs of KITM include Management, Computer Applications, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, etc.

Aim & Objective

The Centre for Excellence in Research & Innovation (CERI) is aimed to perform following aim and objective—

  • To promote the research atmosphere in the College of Kotibarsha Institute of Technology and Management among its faculty members and administrative officers in order to reach the goal of India as a Digital Society & Economy.
  • To enhance the research activities among the interested students of Kotibarsha Institute of Technology and Management.
  • To design, develop and organize Research Events in Online, Physical and Blended Mode in Local, State level, and National Context.
  • To Organize Research and Training events leading to Certificate, Advanced Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Programs in different areas of research, computing, management etc.
  • To help in publishing Scientific Journal related to Research and Student Magazine for encouraging students, faculty and all the stakeholders.

Functions & Services

  • To Offer the education and knowledge programs specially National and International Workshop and Conferences.
  • To offer the skill based Training Program, Faculty Development Program, International and National Summits and Conventions in different modes.
  • To Offer the Internship Program includes Academic Internship, Industrial Internship, Teaching Internship and Research Internship in wide areas of knowledge and fields.
  • To Publish Journals, Scientific Communications, Books etc by own and also National and International Printing Agencies

Human Resources

Centre for Excellence in Research & Innovation (CERI) is actively supported with all the faculty members at Kotibarsha Institute of Technology and Management (KITM) and all the associates of its sister concern Knocks Educare Foundation. The Centre for Excellence in Research & Innovation (CERI) is having large pool of National Advisors, International Advisors, Technical Teams as well. Shri. Surajit Ghosh, (Chairman & Director, KITM) is currently holds the position of Coordinator of Centre for Excellence in Research & Innovation (CERI), while the dynamic, interdisciplinary young Educationalist Dr. P.K. Paul holds the position of Vice Chairman, Centre for Excellence in Research & Innovation (CERI).
